:Im sure i meant clipping or some kind of distortion, or at least i was referring to some kind of distortion in my above post, and not bottoming out. You can even see in another post where i referred to it as distortion, not bottoming out. Not sure what i was thinking with the bottoming out. :For clarification, i believe the term "bottoming out" is when you send too low a frequency to too small of a speaker. : bottoming out is when the moving assembly (cone, spider, vc former, ect) reaches it mechanical limits of rearward clearance. Usually rearward movement is limited by either the back of the cone hitting the spider, or the vc former hitting the backplate.
